5 Surprising Benefits of Clinical Pilates

Most people know that Pilates can be a great form of exercise, but here are 5 benefits that most people don't know about...

If you practice Clinical Pilates:

1. You can avoid surgery

I have had a number of clients seek me out after their doctors told them that they needed to have surgery. After 2-3 months of following a Clinical Pilates program, their symptoms had been eliminated and they no longer needed surgery.

2. You can reduce or even eliminate the need for pain pills

This is because your muscles work more effectively and your body moves more efficiently and so feels better, when you do Clinical Pilates.

3. Your balance will improve and you can prevent falls

All of us over the age of 40 know that our balance is not as good as it used to be 10 or 20 years ago. This is a problem as it can lead to falls. Balance is something that doesn’t get better by itself, but can improve dramatically if you do the right exercises, helping to maintain mobility and independence.

4. Your bone strength can be maintained

We all know someone who has taken a slight tumble and ended up with a broken bone. This can be prevented by maintaining bone density and strong bones. Clinical Pilates exercises can help with this.

5. Your pelvic floor muscles get stronger and more endurance

This is due to the core muscle, which Clinical Pilates targets, working together with the pelvic floor muscles, which makes them activate more readily and for longer.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this insight into some of the many benefits of Clinical Pilates. Please feel free to share this information with anyone else who it may help. If you have any questions or need more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
